The 2016 fourth quarter report includes data on forest health in Huron-Manistee, Ottawa and Hiawatha forests, fourth quarter state and federal market activity and fourth quarter timber sales.

The 2016 third quarter report includes data on forest health in Huron-Manistee, Ottawa and Hiawatha forests, third quarter state and federal market activity and third quarter timber sales. 

On July 29th, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) released a final environmental impact statement (EIS) for the Rover Pipeline, a $4.2 billion infrastructure project which will distribute domestically-produced natural gas to markets in Ohio, Michigan, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania.

Natural gas serves as a feedstock for a number of consumer products, from plastics, tires, rubber and insulation to clothing and household goods.

A Boy Scout named Brian passed an article along to the Michigan Forest Products Counil earlier this month regarding forest fires. Brian is very aware of the forest fires happening in Alberta, Canada because his cousin lives in Calgary.

The Michigan Forest Products Council applauds the annoucement by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission that it has released the draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Rover natural gas pipeline project.
