Welcome to the future of Michigan’s forest workforce. The Forest Industry Training Program connects students, workers, and employers to high-demand careers in sustainable forestry, manufacturing, logistics, and natural resource management.
Program Mission
Michigan’s forest products industry supports manufacturing, jobs, and rural economies. MFPC helps keep it competitive by advocating for supportive policies and infrastructure, while promoting sustainable forest management that balances economic use with conservation and other forest benefits.
Program Goals
- Provide apprenticeship programs for high school students interested in the forest products industry
- Establish mentorship frameworks for new employee support
- Deliver intensive training sessions for critical logging crew skills
